Freshman Orientation!

This past Thursday we had our annual freshman orientation where we tried to persuade new freshman to sign up for Accounting 200. Although the poor weather dampened our turn out, we still had a good group of eager freshman. The program featured words of wisdom from WSOA committee members, Norm Nemrow, Professor Charles and Professor Swain.

Senior Ainsley McGhie talks about Empowerment Through the Accounting Program.

Professor Monte Swain imparts his words of wisdom.

The event closed with appetizers and a chance for current WSOA students and faculty to mingle with the freshmen that attended the event. Overall it was a great event where everyone left with a greater appreciation of the accounting program!

Stay tuned.... There is more to come!

Investment Bank Club Activity

You really don't want to miss out on this one great opportunity!!!
The Investment Banking Club will be having a junior core alum, Carley Mattson, coming down from NYC to be a guest speaker for the club. She is a senior credit research analyst at Goldman Sachs. This would be an awesome opportunity for the students in the WSOA to learn more about opportunities outside of accounting from someone who has been really successful.

Carley will be speaking next Wednesday the 29th, from 7:00 -- 8:00pm in TNRB 260.
